The Traders Hotel, Kuala Lumpur is a contemporary hotel in the heart of the city, just opposite the Petronas Twin Towers. Its location cannot be more strategic with access to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Suria KLCC and the famous Twin Towers.

Chinoz on the Park Suria KLCC

It was my first time eating at Chinoz on the Park at Suria KLCC. Chinoz On The Park offers contemporary European cuisine and has been voted as 'One of Asia's Best Restaurants' by The MIELE GUIDE in 2008/09 and 2009/10

Orange Ginger, Carrot, Orange, Apple + Ginger (RM17)

Freshly squeezed fruit juice with a hint of ginger. Loved it!

Pumpkin & Parmesan Gnocchi with Spinach, Portabello in Tomato Ragu (RM29)

Fresh and light tomato ragu with interesting pumpkin gnocchi and shaved parmesan. Simply delish.

Citron Presse, Lime Squeeze and Soda Water (RM13)

A very refreshing drink.

El Diablo Wood Oven Pizza with pepperoni, anchovies, mozzarella and sweet basil (RM33)

Hubs loved his pizza to bits, especially since it has all his favourite ingredients - pepperoni, anchovies and basil. Need I say more? :)

The Apartment Downtown, KLCC

Tangerine Cooler RM10.50 & Passionfruit Cooler RM10.50

Lemon Sole 27.90
Fillet of panfried lemon sole with chilli and black olive tapenade served with thyme, mash and rocket.

I read from some blogs that the cooking at this restaurant is Jamie Oliver style. The panfried lemon sole was quiet forgottable but I loved the black olive tapenade, mash potato and rocket. The price is a little on the higher end but I am not complaining coz this is KL standard :)

I especially liked the restaurant's concept on urban living with large open space, natural light, height and depth. and ambiance. The restaurant ambiance is indeed very comfortable and homey. Weopted for the table with a 2-seater fabric sofa.

California Pizza Kitchen, KLCC

As its' name suggests, California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) serves primarily pizzas and a wide selection of salads, pastas, soups, sandwiches, appetizers and desserts etc.

We ordered the Two in a Bowl where we could combine any two types of soup served in the same bowl. We opted for the Sedona Tortilla Soup and Dakota Smashed Pea and Barley Soup.

Sedona Tortilla Soup (Vine-ripened tomatoes, tomatillos and corn with mild green chiles and Southwestern spices. Garnished with crispy corn tortilla strips)

Dakota Smashed Pea and Barley Soup (Hearty vegetarian split pea with barley, carrots, onions and savory herbs. Garnished with chopped green onions)

He has been to Sedona and has loved the Sedona Tortilla Soup ever since. He said this one at CPK is quite close to the one he had in Sedona.

I personally loved the soup, especially with the crispy corn tortilla strips. The Dakota Smashed Pea and Barley Soup was also a great choice. This soup was very smooth and it was a great pea, barley and herbs combination. Both types of soup are very highly recommended.

The Original BBQ Chicken Pizza (Barbecue sauce, smoked Gouda and Mozzarella cheeses, BBQ Chicken, sliced red onions and cilantro)

We ordered their Original BBQ Chicken Pizza, touted as their most popular pizza, introduced in their first restaurant in Beverly Hills in 1985. The Barbecue sauce was a bit sweet for my liking but I guess most Barbecue sauce is sweet anyway.

Linguine Marinara (Linguine marinara cooked with Italian marsala wine, mushrooms and basil)

The linguine is cooked al dente just the way we liked them with a very generous serving of schrimps. We definitely liked the pasta more than the pizza.
