The new Pinang Fisherman Wharf at Sunshine Square

The Pinang Fisherman Wharf has recently relocated from opposite Motorola to the Sunshine Square Annex Building Level 2.  To me this is a welcomed move because the setting is more cozy and clean.

We went for dinner on a Sunday night and the restaurant was enjoying brisk business. We ordered some of the chef's specialties which sounded rather unique.

Pan Fried Prawns with Cheese and Salted Egg

Braised Bean Curd with Dried Scallop and Black Sesame

Stir Fried Kangkung with Belacan

Deep Fried Trotter in Thai Style

Curry Fish Head

The total bill came to a little over RM200 after the 15% Sunshine card member discount, including some beer.

Overall the food was good and the ambiance very comfortable. Currently, the restaurant no longer offers the daily lunch buffet like it used to at the old location. However, the chef's specials are quite interesting and really worth a try. It is also a great location to entertain guests and hold family gatherings.

They are currently running a Super Value Promotion from 26 July to 27 August (on weekdays only from 12pm to 3pm). Read more about the promotion at the Malaysia Food Promotions blog here.

They also specialize in wedding packages and can cater from 30 up to 120 tables in a separate event hall at the same building.
