Xuan Xin Restaurant

Xuan Xin Restaurant at the new wing of Gurney Plaza is a sister restaurant to Xuan Xin Buffet Steamboat at Jalan Tanjung Tokong.

We went at around 9 pm on a Saturday night and the restaurant was enjoying very brisk business.

The menu is very elaborate so it was quite difficult to decide on what to eat. It will be good if the restaurant can highlight the "chef recommended" dishes on the menu.

With the recommendations of a waiter, we finally decided on the following:

Steamed Black Chicken Soup with Herb (RM8.80)

The soup was good with strong herbal taste.

Crispy Cuttlefish with Aji Salt and Pepper (RM9.00)

A bit salty but very tasty and highly recommended. The cuttlefish batter was crispy and went well with the garlic, chili and spring onion dressing.
.
Fried Pork Belly with Apple Sauce (RM15.80)

We ordered this dish because it sounded interesting. However, it turned out to be a it too "porky" for my taste.

Stewed Ee-Fu Noodle with Seafood (RM13.80)

At first sight, this noodle dish didn't look too appetizing. Surprisingly, it was stewed very well to taste.

Xuan Xin Crab Yolk Congee (RM16.80)

Very generous serving of crab meat and crab yolk. Highly recommended.

Contemporary and comfortable ambiance and setting.
