I Mum Mum Pan Mee

I chanced upon this shop from Cariso's blog and decided to give it a try one Saturday at around Noon for lunch. The shop has apparently been opened for one month only.

It is located at the PDC flats at Pengkalan Weld, opposite the post office. The outlet is not visible from the main road but take the first left turn after the traffic lights in front of the post office (I am quite hopeless with directions, so call the outlet phone number below if you need further directions). There is a lot of small signs leading to the shop which you can see even from the highway so it shouldn't be too difficult to locate the shop.

The shop only sells Pan Mee. Pan Mee or Ban Mian (Chinese : 板麺) is a Hokkien-style egg noodle soup, some forms of Ban mian, comprises hand-kneaded pieces of dough, while others use regular strips of noodles (Source: Wikipedia)

They serve a small variety of Pan Mee namely the original Pan Mee in dry and soup version, Minced Pork Pan Mee, Spicy Pan Mee and Crispy Pork Pan Mee. Price ranges from RM2.80 to RM4 per plate / bowl depending on the type and size. You may also choose to add on additional ingredients e.g. fish dumpling, pork ball etc. The fish dumplings and pork balls are those that we normally buy ready made from the market for steamboat.

We ordered the Pan Mee in soup version and Crispy Pork Pan Mee. My mom loved her Pan Mee in soup and my dad said it's okay. My Crispy Pork Pan Mee was a bit sweet for my taste. The pork slices was indeed quite crispy. Overall the Pan Mee was quite tasty and the shop was enjoying quite brisk business during lunch hour.
